Today is my birthday. And every year when this day rolls around, I find myself doing the same thing — putting the phone down for a few minutes, looking around our office here in Westminster, and thinking about how we got here. It’s been 18 years since I opened the doors at Aloha Insurance Co. Eighteen years of auto policies and home policies, SR-22s and renters coverage, phone calls that started with “I just got in an accident” and ended with someone feeling a little less alone.
It Started With a Simple Belief
Back in 2006, I had one idea I couldn’t let go of: families in our community deserve a real independent agent — not a 1-800 number, not an algorithm, and not someone handcuffed to a single carrier. They deserve someone who shops multiple carriers, explains the difference in plain English, and is actually there when something goes wrong. That idea became Aloha Insurance Co. The name came from the spirit I wanted this place to carry — warmth, welcome, and genuine care for every person who walked through our door.

It looks like a team that genuinely cares. Lorena and Miguel show up every single day committed to every family we serve. I’m proud of both of them. It looks like thousands of conversations — every client who came in worried about their rates and left with a plan. Every family we helped after a car accident or a hailstorm. Every young driver we set up with affordable coverage for the first time. It looks like consistency. Same location. Same phone number. Same promise — to always put your family first.
